RE: San Bernardino Shooters Confirmed As Islamic Terrorists

This is in response to this Funker530.com article, and the statement made by ZH below. At this point, our president and his team want this anti gun agenda to happen so bad that he's gonna brush this under the rug. This was terrorist attack. I had a hard time sleeping last night because I have a heavy heart. This event was too close to home. Yeah we can pray for the victims but faith without works is dead. We need to take action as well as praying. We want peace, we have to be the first ones to take the steps towards it. War has been waged on American soil. Prepare for what may come. Have a plan with your loved ones in case of a emergency. Get a gun, bat, knife, machete, some type of protection for your household and educate yourselves and your loved ones about your protection. One love fam. - ZH What is terror exactly? And by that definition is the US Government a terrorist organization? At any rate, while discouraging you of thinking all Muslims are barbaric warmon...

I feel like Christian dating is like a Rumspringa in a Sense

I feel like Christian dating is like a Rumspringa in a Sense Original Post is located here:  http://scrip.ly/!245 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 ESV 14  Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15  What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? Rebecca from Breaking Amish I wrote this to a woman who was looking for a man who followed Christ online, and never got a response. It was a seriousinquiry, because so often I find that people have basically taken what they like about Christianity, and left the rest. You are beautiful, and super intriguing. That being said, I've said that I think that the only real Christians left seem to be Amish & Mennonite; and although I'm nowhere near living like the Amish, mostly out of fear and a love for tech - I feel like Christian dating is like a Rumspringa ...

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." - Verbal Kint (The Usual Suspects 1995) One of the things I find hard about "debating" with Atheists is that they generally will use anononimity when talking points about the evils of society come up. Any "bad man" or "bad deed" committed by an atheist goes without judgement, while they seemingly stand as judge, jury, & executioner of God, Jesus, and anyone who doesn't bend to their school of thought, which they unceremoniously call "SCIENCE". Honestly, It's like arguing with a two year old. MINE. MINE. You just have to sit em in the corner and let time deal with this one. Interestingly enough, politics of some situations renders this nearly impossible. And they all feel they have THE RIGHT to trump card your belief system because they don't believe in angels, or anything bigger than they are. When you get right to i...

Trying to Communicate With the Passive Aggressive Parents As They Duck, Weave, Lie, & Smiley face Me into Submission

Trying to Communicate With the Passive Aggressive Parents As They Duck, Weave, Lie, & Smiley face Me into Submission March 24, 2013,   0  Comments   Edit post M&D:  On Mar 19, 2013, at 10:08 PM Hello Stephen, Hope all is well with you!  We-Stephen, Mom, and Dad all agree that we want a relationship with each other. We also agree that a relationship must be built on mutual respect and tolerance. On the road to reconciliation we need to agree on a framework of communication.  We feel it is important to come to an agreement on how this process should work.  We realize this may take time but sure and steady leads to a better long lasting relationship. Here are some expectancies: Use Kind words  (no cussing, no name calling) Be respectful to each other (No patronizing, sarcasm) Constructive Conversation (no blaming, or finger pointing) Social media is off limits ( facebook, twitter, etc.) Do not involve or put at ...

SEVEN THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND IN REGARDS TO SEXUAL SIN (by Perry Noble)

We covered Sexual Immorality in my Men's Group this evening. Some pretty heavy stuff. I was introduced to a preacher man named Perry Noble, and what the Apostle Paul states was the Biblical solutions for keeping away from sexual immorality.  Answer: Marriage. THANKS CHET. working on that. There was some good lessons that were drawn out of this subject. Pretty heavy for my first visit to  Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa 's Men's Bible Study. But a rewarding experience, nevertheless. SEVEN THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND IN REGARDS TO SEXUAL SIN (by Perry Noble) For the past two weeks at NewSpring Church we have dove into the subject of sexual sin IN the church (based on the fact that Jesus rebukes two churches in Revelation chapter two for sexual sin IN the church.) Here are several thoughts/reminders in regards to what we covered. (The sermons are available on itunes and on the NewSpring Church website if you want to see/hear them in their entirety.) Who or what you pursue ...

(REPOST): The Hypocrites of Homosexuality By Orson Scott Card

This essay was published in February of 1990, in the following context: The Supreme Court had declared in 1986 (Bowers v. Hardwick) that a Georgia law prohibiting sodomy even in the privacy of one's own home was constitutional. I was also writing this essay to a conservative Mormon audience that at the time would have felt no interest in decriminalizing homosexual acts. In that context, my call to "leave the laws on the books" was simply recognizing the law at that time, and my call to not enforce it except in flagrant cases was actually, within that context, a liberal and tolerant view -- for which I was roundly criticized in conservative Mormon circles as being "pro-gay." Those who now use this essay to attack me as a "homophobe" deceptively ignore the context and treat the essay as if I had written it yesterday afternoon. That is absurd -- now that the law has changed (the decision was overturned in 2003) I have no interest in criminalizing homo...
